On the Stones
ILLUMIN pieces are crafted using earth-mined gemstones and crystals, selected for their integrity, rarity, and natural architecture.
Each stone carries a record of geological pressure and time. Internal lines, variations, and organic formations are inherent to the material and are honored as part of its identity.
Certain stones require more attentive handling due to their composition. This sensitivity reflects rarity, not fragility. Mindful wear preserves both structure and presence over time.
Opals, in particular, are valued for their singular play of color and depth. Solid opals contain a higher water content than most gemstones and benefit from gentle care. Avoid extreme heat, sudden temperature changes, harsh chemicals, and prolonged dryness. When needed, clean with a soft cloth and warm water.
Attentive handling allows each stone to retain its natural brilliance and integrity.
On the Metals
All fine metals evolve through wear and exposure. Contact with moisture, salt air, cosmetics, perfume, chlorine, and chemicals may alter surface finish over time.
We recommend removing jewelry before swimming, bathing, or washing hands, and storing pieces in a dry, enclosed space when not in use. Occasional gentle polishing will restore luster while preserving character.
With considered care, each piece will age with quiet distinction.
SIZING
Each ILLUMIN piece is handcrafted and one of a kind, sculpted in direct response to the natural architecture of the stones they hold. As a result, form and proportion are integral to the design.
Measurements and sizing details are provided within each listing. For rings, standard U.S. ring sizing applies. Clients are encouraged to confirm their size with a professional jeweler or a ring sizer prior to purchase.
Due to the sculptural nature of these works, resizing is considered on a case-by-case basis and depends on the structure of the piece. In certain instances, commissioning a related work, created specifically for the wearer, may be the most appropriate path.
For necklaces, cuffs, and other sculptural forms, dimensions are noted in the description. Some designs allow for adjustment; others are forged for a precise fit in service of the intended form.

SHIPPING
Complimentary shipping is provided on all jewelry orders within the Continental United States.
For larger sculptural or object-based works, clients are asked to contact the atelier directly. Shipping method, handling requirements, and insurance are determined on a case-by-case basis to ensure the highest level of care during transit.
Processing Timelines
Ready-to-wear pieces typically ship within 2–3 business days, unless otherwise noted at the time of purchase.
Made-to-order and bespoke works require additional time, generally ranging from 2–4 weeks depending on complexity and scope. If a specific delivery timeline is required, arrangements must be discussed prior to placing an order.
International Orders
International shipments are fulfilled via UPS. Rates for Canada, Australia, East Asia, and the European Union are calculated at checkout.
For all other regions, clients are asked to contact the atelier in advance to discuss available shipping options and receive a tailored quote.
International delivery times vary by destination and customs processing and may range from approximately 7–27 business days.
IN THE RARE EVENT OF DAMAGE
Gems and crystals are formed by nature and carry inherent sensitivities. Each ILLUMIN piece is carefully prepared and protected for transit. In rare instances, damage may occur during shipment.
If your piece arrives compromised, please contact us immediately upon receipt. We will address the matter with care, discretion, and priority.
Our commitment is to ensure a seamless experience from the moment of purchase to the moment the piece is received and held.
RETURN POLICY
Ready-to-wear jewelry and select sculptural works may be eligible for return within 7 days of delivery, unless otherwise noted.
To request a return authorization, clients must contact the atelier within 48 hours of delivery at: contact@illumindesigns.com
Authorized returns must be shipped within 7 days of approval and received in original condition, unworn, unaltered, and accompanied by all original packaging. Works that show signs of wear or handling beyond standard inspection may not be accepted.
Approved returns are issued as store credit for the amount paid, excluding shipping and return shipping. Store credit may be applied toward any future ILLUMIN or HALT Atelier creation.
Commissioned, bespoke, and made-to-order works are final sale.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the client unless otherwise arranged.
